Peace, Love, and tea...

My awesome husband ordered me the Bundle Monster Stamping Plates.  He ordered me these specifically because of the peace symbol.  He knows me so well!!
When I got them in the mail, it was pure joy.  BUT!!!  After I saw all the designs, it was total confusion.
Which one to use??  Even though I knew I wanted to do the peace symbol one, I was like, "Oh..eem,,gee... do I really want to do a peace symbol design or something else?"
I figured I would do the peace symbol because that's what I wanted to do first.
My handsome step-son and his wife bought me a peace symbol travel mug and I got inspiration from the peace do-hickee thingamajig that hangs off of the cup.
While I was doing the gradient, geez louise, I was trying to get it right, and this is what I ended up with.

The colors I used were...
Sinful Colors- Pink
L.A. Colors-567
Sally Hansen-Hard Lemonade
Sinful Colors- Irish Green
L.A. Colors Static Electricity
Bundle Monster 07
Afterwards...  I was pretty happy with the results!
Happy Polishing and Peace!!!

Who has a glow in the dark zebra???

I've been doing my nails a lot lately, but not blogging.  Maybe it's because I don't have a "Fan Base" or a lot of followers.  But I'm still going to blog :-)
I first started with a base of L.A. Colors Topaz.  Covered that with KleanColor's Tahiti Sunset.  For the tips I used French White by Wet n' Wild along with the Bright Green striper from Art Deco.  OH!!!  Before I did the green, I covered the white with Wet n' Wild Fantasy Makers Go With the Glow.  Only problem, is I can't take a pic of it glowing :-(  I don't have a back light to catch the effects of it. But trust me, it's pretty cool..
The KleanColors Tahiti Sunset is one of my favorite shades.  I want to eat it. But I'm sure I would die if I did that :-)

Oh Splat! Review

Oh eem gee! When I saw this on the KBShimmer website, I fell in love, absolute head over heels in love, love with this white jelly based nail polish, and knew I must order it. And then I had to wait until September 1st to order it. When Sept 1st, came around, order it I did!

When I got it in the mail, it felt like Christmas.  No.. really, it did.  This was my first website order of nail polish.  Let me tell you... This nail polish did not disappoint.  Nor did Christy (Owner of KBShimmer)  On her Facebook page, KBShimmer FaceBook Page ,she updated us on the orders and when they shipped.  Bless her hardworking self... she posted a pic of all of the shipments, and wow, she works. Hard.

The nail polish is definitely going to be one of my "go-to" polishes when I don't want to fuss with colors, designs, etc...  A couple of people of people have said, "It looks like the inside of a jawbreaker."  While others have said, "Paint splatters!"
I did use about 3 coats to get it to be that perfect opaque. I didn't use a topcoat and it lasted all week, with minimal tip wear. Oh! And it came off easy enough...
I love this polish and I will for sure be ordering from Christy again and recommend her site.

Swatching Sinfully for Summer (Sinful Colors that is!)

So many things are coming to an end this month...  My son is leaving on Sept 10th for Boot Camp and Summer is almost over :(  *wiping away my tear*  And I thought I would try this bright bubblegum Barbie pink from Sinful Colors.  I can't recall ever using this. Hmmm...
It's called "Gorgeous".  If you like pink shades, then you will LOVE this...

That is with two coats and a top coat, taken outside
without a flash.  I love it.  It is soooo pretty. Even on its own.

.  Of course I just couldn't leave it alone.  I wonder how old we become when we finally, "leave well enough alone"?  Anyway... I did some stamping and added some flakies on my ring finger.

Pink Irredescent 'flakies'

When using flakies, I put a clear coat on top of the polish, and place the flakies. I then use, I don't know.. about a million top coats! lol This assures that the flakies won't get caught on anything (especially hair) and it will feel almost smooth. I just kinda stack them on, all over, and on top of
each other until I like it.

I found these flakies in tiny little bottles of six at my local Dollar Tree.
There is so much you can find at those discount dollar stores (99Cent Store too)
As much as I love pink polish, pink phones, pink ligloss, etc... I do love my darker shades too. I think that's the only thing I'm looking forward to this winter. Oh. And hot cocoa. And making a Shepherd's Pie. Oh.. And my husband's Boontjiesop (South African Bean Soup).
And that is all! HAHAHAHA!!!!
Happy Polishing!!
